The DW 9002PC Double Pedal is just what you need for reaction and speed. To create incredibly smooth, gravity defying action, the 9000's Floating Rotor is not permanently affixed on a conventional drive shaft but is mounted on a free floating drive shaft using friction reducing ball bearings. In addition, the patented Rotor can be infinitely adjusted using the Infinite Torque Adjustment for a variety of positions from center (Turbo style) to eccentric (Accelerator style), achieving the desired balance of power and precision in any playing situation. Furthermore, by moving the location of the Floating Spring from the end of the hex shaft to the center of the pedal, the vertical alignment of the moving parts is maintained and the indirect transfer and loss of energy is virtually eliminated further optimizing the pedal's speed and power and precision. Owner Reviews I owned the Axis X-L2 Longboard Double Pedal for about a year, and while it was definitely a great pedal, I could never get completely comfortable to the direct drive feel. I demoed the DW 9000, DW 5000, and Iron Cobra Power Glide The DW 9000 is light years ahead of the others in my opinion. The Iron Cobra would have been my second choice, but it was a distant second. The feel of this pedal is amazing! It is so smooth it just floats letting the pedal do most of the work and taking stress off of your legs. The adjustment features on this thing are awesome and easy as well. You can adjust the cam in a flash and adjusting the spring tension on the 9000 is waaaay easier than on the Axis. With the 9000 I can go just as fast (if not faster) than on the Axis, but the huge difference is how steady this thing is! There is no noticeable power difference between the master and slave. With the Axis, it was too sensitive, and my slave always sounded a tad bit weaker than the master. I have owned the 9000 for about 6 months now and must say this is the best pedal I've ever played.
