I bought this bell new. After recording with it, we figured out it was making a horrible 'broken' sound which was hard to hear unless you were listening right into it. It came thru strongly on the mic. I think because of the overlapping fold in the seam of the bell, some of them can have this bad characteristic. I just bought a Pearl bell which is much better construction. My LP bell just went into the trash.
