The Les Paul Junior, introduced in 1954, was the economy Les Paul model. With its no nonsense look, a single P 90 pickup, and a price of $49.50 it was an instant hit. In 1958, Gibson changed the Junior's body shape to a double cutaway.

The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, and a special nitrocellulose finish treatment gives it the patina of a gently aged vintage guitar.
