Each offers a different sonic spin: one tight and sparkling, the other greasy and fat and with more attitude. The Lead channel offers a choice of Grind and Punch. Grind has a modern, high gain American tone. Punch provides a tighter low end response and an upper midrange emphasis— a distinctly British flavor.
