The Sonor S Classix Stage 3 kit offers a convincingly expressive and dynamic sound with powerful treble and mid range pitches and well balanced deep tone. With its great tone combined with the very latest features, this set is becoming the centerpiece of the Sonor drum series. This kit features fusion sizes, which are 10"x8" and 12"x9" toms, a 16"x16" floor tom, a 14"x5" snare drum, and a 22"x17.5" bass drum.

These shells deliver maximum strength, perfect curving and neutral tuning, thanks to tension free cross lamination of the individual layers of wood (CLTF Cross Laminated Tension Free Process). The covered finishes are adhered across the entire surface of the shell for great looks and natural sound. The drums have 9 plies for toms, floor tom and snare drum, and 12 plies for the bass drum.

All of the lugs are equipped with Sonor's TuneSafe tuning safeguard feature, which prevents tension screws from loosening during hard rim shots or where batter heads have been loosely tuned. The new square tension screws with fine pitch threads guarantee optimum tunability. Slotted tension screws with fine pitch threads remain available as accessories.
Maximum Resonance!
The vibration free T.A.R. system (Total Acoustic Resonance) with APS (Advanced Projection System) provides for maximum resonance and sustain. This tom mounting system, the bass drum bracket, bass drum, and floor tom legs all come equipped with special APS rubber insulators that prevent direct contact between the metal parts and the wooden shells. This gives the drums a more dynamic, more precise sound.
