Marking Lakland's 10 year anniversary, the Decade bass came out in 1995, and was only available in the high end US Series until now. The Lakland Skyline Series Decade 4 bass is constructed with a mahogany body for solid, low end tone, and dressed in a translucent "Cherry" Burgundy finish. For color contrast it has a black pick guard, and a black headstock. It has a 20 fret rosewood fingerboard with Pearloid blocks and white binding. Utilizing a special pickup design from the Lakland/Hanson Pickups partnership, the all US made "Chi Sonic" pickups are now standard on the Skyline Decade 4 and help it perform like a serious rock bass should. These retro looking single coil pickups have an amazing full range quality with lots of airy highs, large, focused low end, and a complex midrange that manages to keep the upper register notes really punchy without darkening your sound. It also has 2 knobs for volume and one for tone control.
