Whether you play rock 'n' roll from the heyday of the 60s and 70s, or if you just want a bass guitar that looks like it was built in that era, the ESP Vintage 4 is right down your alley. This short scale, bolt on construction 4 string bass guitar was crafted from an alder body, and, depending on which model you choose, it comes with a maple neck and fingerboard or maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Either way, you're getting a lightweight ESP bass with sturdy construction that will provide you with full, rich tones, excellent low and mid range tones, as well great sustain. Adding to it's old school look is a pickguard that covers more than half of the top, stretching from the lower horn down to curl underneath the control knobs. It's also been purposely designed to look antiquated with falsified wear and tear on the body and headstock.
Providing the sound you're looking for are Seymour Duncan Antiquity J (bridge) and P (neck) pickups with 3 control knobs to shape it even more. Making this guitar even more obliging to anyone who loves playing rhythm is it's thin "U" neck contour and double cutaway design which allow for more access to the 24 XJ frets no matter how big or small your hands are. Other features include a 42mm bone nut, Gotoh bridge and tuners, as well ESP and dot inlays along the fretboard.
