Reviews From Buyers
I've owned a first gen 5120 which was nice but required a LOT of work to get the action set up and intonated. It also required new pups and wiring to be useable. Then I owned one of the first 5120s with Blacktops and it sounded a lot better, but still required a bit of work to set up and intonate. A new nut was just the cost of playing Electromatics, I figured.
But the new 2017 models with treble bleed cap seem to be a different animal. I couldn't put .012s on it but I am running .011s without a new nut and it intonates well enough. Playing it into a cranked amp this one resonates sweetly. The whole body seems to vibrate musically and the feedback is easy to control.
So far ... me likey VERY much.
