Product Description
The perfect guitar for the player who is looking for authentic Gibson tones, with the best of what modern craftsmanship has to offer. The traditional mahogany-maple tonewoods with satin finish and nickel hardware, accompanied by vintage-style keystone tuners, give this Les Paul Tribute a true vintage vibe. Its slim-taper neck profile, powerful modern humbucking pickups, and comfort-enhancing weight relief make it fit for today's most demanding players. Delivered in a padded gig bag with a strap and polishing cloth.
Reviews From Buyers
The '17 LP Tribute T is an amazing guitar, priced at an exceptional value. A USA made Gibson for under $1000. Right out of the box this guitar came ready to play. Action is nice and the intonation is spot on. The 490R and 490T pick-ups are super responsive and growl like a bear, giving the player that sought-after vintage Gibson tone. I am playing through a Vox ac15c1 and the guitar/amp combo is simply art in auditory form. Muddy when it needs to be, but still reproducing a nice undistorted clear tone. As far as the craftsmanship, I cannot find one flaw on this guitar. The iconic Gold Top finish, while done in matte instead of high gloss, is perfect. Though the fret board is unbound, the sides are smooth (no getting caught on frets) and the neck is fast. 9 hole weight-relief is comfortable, yet not obnoxiously light. The sustain is amazing. What I really love about this '17 model compared to the '16 model is the natural mahogany finish on the back and neck. The '16 has black back and neck, which to me, just didn't do justice to that Gold Top. My only immediate modification was changing the strings to .10-.52's, but that's just personal choice. This is an out-of-the-box, play as-is guitar for those musicians looking for that classic Gibson tone, look, and feel. Well done, Gibson!

A nice personal touch with the '17 Gibson models is the picture they include of your actual guitar on the bench during set up. Nothing earth-shattering, but indicative of the return to attention to detail Gibson has undertaken after what many people said was a departure from that over the years, with suspect craftsmanship and quality control. I couldn't be happier with this guitar.
