Reviews From Buyers
I love this product. I have always dreamed about owning an Arp 2600 but it is a high ticket item on the used market but the arp odyssey is a great way to help satisfy those cravings. Its is a flexible one of a kind synth. I felt like I had to write a review because someone gave it a 2 but the same person who gave it a 2 said they wanted to buy a full size key one so how could they really be giving it a 2 when they want to rebuy the same synth. Point is this synth is a classic and sounds amazing and the smaller keys are just fine. They aren't too small and its no problem at all. But of course different people will have different opinions. But anyway on to the synth.
First thing Is the case it comes with is amazing. There is no question about that. I wish all synths came with a nice case like this. Second the quality of the synth is amazing very well built. The first thing I noticed that I didn't know is that it has some semi modular capabilities and you can patch it. There is cv in and out as well as gate and trigger in the back of it. There is also audio in to mess with sounds. So it has a lot of possibilities. You could def use a cv sequencer with it. Its great for making weird noises as well as making leads and baseline type stuff. But if you like weird modulating noises that will go off on there own without having to use an external sequence this is great for that. This is truly an alien synth. To be honest I am surprised its not more expensive. So much so that I have considered getting the module as well. I haven't yet but I think for sound fx this thing is awesome. If your a fan of the ms20 I think you would like this. Just a good weird synth. Has sliders and switches and is different from a moog. However considering a moog cost $3000 I think the value of this synth at the price is incredible. This synth deserves a higher score so I felt like I had to write a review to let people know this is a timeless classic. It may or may not be for you but its awesome!
